Diversity in Academic Otolaryngology: An Update and Recommendations for Moving From Words to Action

This article examines diversity and inclusion efforts in otolaryngology residency programs, noting that few programs actively advertise department-level D&I initiatives despite ACGME emphasis. It provides actionable recommendations for otolaryngology programs to move beyond policy statements toward meaningful recruitment and retention strategies for underrepresented minorities.
