Anal duplication: is surgery indicated? A report of three cases and review of the literature

Case series of three anal canal duplication patients, predominantly female with posterior midline location. Emphasizes importance of early diagnosis to exclude presacral masses and recommends prophylactic excision via posterior sagittal approach to prevent infectious complications.
