Urethral diverticulum after laparoscopically-assisted anorectal pull-through (LAARP) for anorectal malformation: is resection of the diverticulum always necessary?

This case report examines urethral diverticulum as a complication following laparoscopically-assisted anorectal pull-through for anorectal malformations. The authors propose that asymptomatic diverticula may resolve spontaneously, suggesting active surveillance as a viable alternative to immediate surgical resection in selected patients.
