Intussusception in children: lessons learned from intestinal lymphoma as a rare lead-point
Topic overview
Retrospective study of five pediatric patients demonstrates that intestinal lymphoma, though rare, should be suspected as a pathological lead-point in children over 4 years with intussusception, particularly with recurrence or prolonged symptoms. All cases were aggressive B cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma; pneumatic/hydrostatic reduction remained safe first-line treatment despite malignant etiology.
