Draf IIB with superior septectomy: finding the “middle ground”

This cadaveric study evaluates a modified Draf IIb frontal sinusotomy with superior septectomy as an intermediate surgical option for patients with diffuse polyposis and aspirin-exacerbated respiratory disease. Fluorescein irrigation studies demonstrated equivalent sinus penetration compared to the more extensive endoscopic modified Lothrop procedure, suggesting this technique may offer similar therapeutic benefit with potentially less morbidity.
