2024 Fetal Care Center Frontiers in Fetal Neurology Day 2 - Introduction

Hello and welcome to our Fetal Care Center, Frontiers in Fetal Neurology, day 2 of our fetal Global cast. So for today's session, we will again have two blocks. From 20 to 1:00, we will discuss fetal therapeutics. Our first talk will be from Doctor Darren Orbach from Boston Children's Hospital, who will discuss fetal embolization for vein of galen malformation. And our second talk will be from Doctor David Ritter at Cincinnati Children's, who will discuss prenatal treatment of tuberosclerosis. We will have a little um Q&A session afterwards. Um, following that, we will have another session from 1 to 2 where we will Discuss environmental exposures as they pertain to the fetal brain. We will start that session off with Doctor Usha Nagaraj, who will discuss imaging findings and fetal opioid exposure, followed by Doctor Kara Markham, who will discuss neurological implications of fetal cytomegalovirus infection. Can treating the pregnant patient alter fetal disease? The format, um, today's, for today's session, the talks will be a little bit longer, uh, about 20 to 25 minutes or so. We'll have 10 minutes at the end of each session for discussion. Please post your questions in the chat.
