Commentary on: Environmental Impact of Traveling to the Annual American Pediatric Surgical Association Meeting
Abstract
In the article “Environmental Impact of Traveling to the Annual American Pediatric Surgical Association Meeting” by Fitzpatrick C, et al. [1], the authors thoughtfully describe their efforts to quantify the environmental impact of travel to and from the 2023 annual APSA meeting. Their intention is to illustrate the greenhouse gas emissions for the audience and offer mitigation strategies that are commonly used currently by other societies and corporations who have made sustainability a priority of their mission [1].
