Abstract

We read with great interest a recent article entitled “The Intraperitoneal Use of Cephazolin: A Novelty in the Prevention of Intra-abdominal Abscess after Laparoscopic Appendectomy in Children” by Frediani et al. published on the Annali Italiani di Chirurgia [1], regarding the use of intraperitoneal antibiotics in the prevention of intra-abdominal abscesses in children undergoing surgery for appendicitis.
