Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. We are here for the second annual best of the best in pediatric surgery. We're very excited. This is going to be an amazing probably a three-hour event, maybe four. Who we'll see how fast it goes, but we've got a lot to go through and just to summarize it here. First of all, I've got Cecilia Hana who put this did all the work for this, put this all together. Uh Cecilia is a pediatric surgeon. She laughs at me when I say her hospital. Hospiraria, how do you say it? Fundacion hospiraria. Yeah, there you go. Uh, she's from Argentina and's been uh is the uh fellow in the Media Lab here at Cincinnati Children's and uh she's going to be helping co-host this event today. Um, so, uh, we've got a lot to go over. but basically for those who have never done this before, this is the story. Uh, there is just no way to go to every single society meeting. So we decided to put this event together called Best of the Best, where we ask all of the biggest societies around the world, send us the best uh presentations that were made at your at your event. Tell us the best top three and we'll try to get them all together so the world can know what's been presented around the world. Now, to make it fun, we add a little bit of, you know, contest to it. Uh, a little competition. But the truth is what you're about to hear are the best presentations from around the world. So if they made it to this event, that means that not only were they accepted into their society meeting, but their society said, you were the best at our meeting. So we've asked each society to give us three. because this would take all day to run that many videos, we're not going to play every video here live, but we're going to be releasing them throughout the year so that every one of you will have opportunity to see every video that is the best around the world and we'll do this every year. Now, what we are going to do today is we're going to tell you the audience that the top three from each society. We're going to tell you what they were about, what were the topics, then you vote on which one you want to hear today. Again, you'll be able to hear all of them eventually, but for today we'll only have time to play the one. We'll play that video, then we'll go through each of the societies and then after that, we'll have a contest and vote to see who is the best of the best in the entire globe in pediatric surgery for 2022, the previous year. So, here are the societies we have. We've got AAP, APSA, caps, seors, UPSA, I Americana, IPEG, Ipso, Paps, PSA, and Wp. There are other ones that we really think are among the best of the best and we couldn't include everyone this year. Uh, I know that we're going to be probably having Baps next year. And please send us recommendations if we're missing someone. We want to be able to include everyone if possible. Uh, so, uh, let's go, let's go ahead and before we begin, I want, I already introduced Cecilia, but I also want to introduce the other superpowers that have made this happen. Um, so first of all, the sponsoring organizations that make this happen, the hosts are Cincinnati Children's. Uh, and that's where we are. Uh, we have Dr. Tony Sandler, who is the senior vice president. He is the surgeon in chief at Children's National Hospital and he's going to be co-hosting with us today. Um, we have uh also, uh this is also brought to you by uh Seattle Children's, um, and uh Buffalo Children's Hospital, um, and uh, who else do we have? Um, uh, I think I think that's the What's that? The hospitals? Yeah, those are the hospitals and then we also have a very uh we're very thankful to Carl Storse Endoscopy, who has always been a loyal supporter of pediatric surgery and they are helping to make this event happen. So thank you to everyone. Um, we also have Britney Levy and Ellen Cisco, the other uh fellows in the lab. We're very sad that Britney and Ellen uh will be leaving us soon to go back to residency. Britney's at University of Kentucky and Ellen is at the Mayo clinic, both in general surgery, absolute superstars. Um, I'm begging them to stay but eventually they have to go back. But they also help put this together. Uh, so Tony, Ellen, and Britney, thanks for helping us host this event. So, um, all right, so we're going to get uh going. What else do you want to say? By the way, if there's technical issues, um, email me. I'm going to tell you what happened. Email me at Tposky@gmail.com. Email me if there's any issues, find me on Facebook, Messenger, whatever, if there's any issues, email me during the event. Um, we can even put my uh email in the chat. And um, be prepared to vote, be prepared to give comments and we're going to go ahead and get started. Do you have uh you want to summarize things more? Um, yes, okay, so let's show a few slides to again explain how this is going to be. As Dot says, we have 11 societies and we have 10 hits. So we are going to have to decide between them. And so, again, we are going to summarize this three best presentations of each society and then you are going to decide which one to see today. But remember, we are seeing every one of the best presentations throughout the year. So don't worry, we are going to see them all. After that, um, we watch that, we make some comments and at the end, we will have 10 um, videos that we have played and we have to decide which one of those is the best of the best uh of all presentations from all these 11 societies.
