Presacral masses and sacrococcygeal teratomas in patients with and without anorectal malformations: A single institution comparative study

Retrospective study comparing presacral masses in 46 patients with and without anorectal malformations found that ARM-associated tumors are resected later (median 1.4 vs 0.03 years), smaller (2.5 vs 6.0 cm), and exclusively intrapelvic. Despite these differences, both groups showed similar histology, recurrence rates (25% vs 15%), and 5-year event-free survival (65% vs 81%).
