Longboard injuries treated at a level 1 pediatric trauma center

Retrospective study of 64 pediatric longboard injuries at a level 1 trauma center found 80% sustained traumatic brain injuries, with only 11% wearing helmets. Injury severity exceeded skateboarding injuries, with intracranial hemorrhage and skull fractures common, though all patients survived to discharge.
