Predictors of Long-Term Pulmonary Morbidity in Children with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia

This retrospective study of 72 CDH survivors identifies patch repair and intrathoracic liver position as predictors of reduced long-term pulmonary function. Patients requiring patch repair with liver herniation showed moderate lung function impairment, while all CDH patients over 14 developed obstructive patterns, emphasizing the need for lifelong pulmonary monitoring.
