We would like to thank Drs. Gowda and Fernandes for their comments. Advances in neonatal care have improved the mortality of premature neonates [1]. However, we conducted this study because a paucity of data exists regarding the mortality of VLBW neonates with CDH. We concur that further investigation is required to improve the extremely high mortality of these neonates.
