Efforts to improve outcomes among neonates with complex intestinal atresia: a single-center low-income country experience

Retrospective study from a low-income country demonstrating that Bishop-Koop anastomosis significantly reduced mortality in neonates with complex jejunal-ileal atresia compared to primary anastomosis (45.5% vs 71.4% mortality). The surgical approach combined with early enteral nutrition offers a practical strategy to improve outcomes in resource-limited settings.
