Nonoperative management of giant omphalocele leading to early fascial closure

Serial taping technique achieved early fascial closure in ten giant omphalocele patients (mean 13.7 days) without primary surgical repair, avoiding complications of staged approaches like multiple anesthetics and silo dehiscence. Six patients achieved primary closure without patch; four required temporary Gore-Tex with subsequent fascial closure.
