Efficacy and late kidney effects of nephron-sparing surgery in the management of unilateral Wilms tumor: a systematic review and meta-analysis

This systematic review demonstrates that nephron-sparing surgery for unilateral Wilms tumor preserves renal function better than radical nephrectomy while maintaining equivalent survival and recurrence outcomes. The meta-analysis of 26 studies shows NSS significantly improves eGFR at follow-up without compromising oncological safety.
