Pediatric surgery in Eastern Africa: The unmet need

This lecture examines the critical shortage of pediatric surgical care in East Africa and sub-Saharan Africa, where children comprise over half the population but face severe barriers including workforce shortages, limited infrastructure, and socioeconomic challenges.
