Use of the Kono-S anastomosis in pediatric Crohn’s disease: a single-institution experience

This retrospective study compares outcomes of Kono-S anastomosis versus traditional stapled anastomosis in pediatric Crohn's disease patients undergoing ileocolic resection. Nine matched pairs showed Kono-S patients had shorter hospital stays and fewer post-operative symptoms at 6 months, with comparable safety profiles.
