Treatment of Umbilical Granuloma in Infants With Topical Application of Common Salt: A Scoping Review

This scoping review evaluates topical common salt as a treatment for umbilical granuloma in infants, analyzing 24 studies with an overall 93.91% success rate and no reported complications. The evidence supports salt application as a simple, safe, and cost-effective alternative to traditional treatments, though high-quality RCTs are lacking.
