Initial experience with 3D laparoscopic choledochal cyst (CDC) excision and hepatico-duodenostomy (HD) in 21 children

This retrospective study demonstrates that 3D laparoscopy is a safe and feasible approach for choledochal cyst excision in children, combining enhanced depth perception for complex suturing with conventional small-sized instruments. All 21 patients were successfully completed laparoscopically without conversion, with minimal blood loss and only one minor postoperative complication managed conservatively.
