It is all about form and function: a new approach to giant neonatal sacrococcygeal teratomas

This article presents a novel surgical technique for giant neonatal sacrococcygeal teratomas that combines tumor resection with immediate aesthetic reconstruction using buried dermal-fat flaps and infragluteal fold incisions. The approach addresses both functional pelvic floor restoration and cosmetic outcomes, including gluteal projection and natural scar placement, challenging the traditional focus on oncologic resection alone.
