INSTITUTIONAL OUTCOMES OF BLUNT LIVER & SPLENIC INJURY IN THE ATOMAC ERA

This retrospective study of 199 pediatric patients with blunt liver or spleen injuries demonstrates that ATOMAC guideline implementation achieves safe non-operative management with low ICU utilization (23%) and short hospital stays (median 1.2 days), regardless of injury grade. No readmissions occurred, supporting expedited discharge protocols for hemodynamically stable patients.
