Tracheal reconstruction surgery for congenital tracheal stenosis

This 9-year Vietnamese study of 67 pediatric patients demonstrates that slide tracheoplasty for congenital tracheal stenosis achieves 86.6% survival and 79.1% good outcomes, with most mortality occurring in emergency cases. The technique proved effective across all stenosis types, including complex cases with pulmonary artery sling (65.7%) and bronchial stenosis (22.4%).
