Thoracoscopic vs open repair of congenital diaphragmatic hernia after extracorporeal membrane oxygenation: a comparison of intra-operative data

This retrospective study compared thoracoscopic versus open repair of congenital diaphragmatic hernia in 11 patients who required ECMO support. Intraoperative blood gas parameters showed no significant differences between approaches, suggesting thoracoscopic repair may be feasible after ECMO despite traditional concerns about physiological tolerance.
