Factors predicting surgical difficulties in congenital biliary dilatation in pediatric patients

This retrospective study of 46 pediatric congenital biliary dilatation cases identifies three key predictors of surgical difficulty: maximum cyst diameter, preoperative AST levels, and bile duct anastomosis diameter. These factors can help surgeons anticipate longer operative times and plan accordingly for complex cases.
