Correlation between image-defined risk factors and surgical complications in patients with neuroblastoma: a retrospective study

This retrospective study of 45 neuroblastoma patients demonstrates that high IDRF scores (≥6) correlate with increased surgical complications, including organ injury and blood loss, both at diagnosis and post-chemotherapy. The findings suggest IDRF scoring can help surgeons anticipate operative risk and prepare accordingly for complex tumor resections.
