The effect of tracheal occlusion in congenital diaphragmatic hernia in the nitrofen rat lung explant model

This study establishes a rat lung explant model to investigate tracheal occlusion effects in CDH-associated pulmonary hypoplasia. Tracheal occlusion increased lung weight and cell proliferation but decreased surfactant protein expression, replicating in vivo surgical outcomes and enabling detailed molecular study of CDH lung development.
