Researchers developed a novel diagnostic model using eight immune-related genes to differentiate biliary atresia from other cholestatic diseases in children, achieving high accuracy in validation datasets. The study identifies the TNFα–NF-κB pathway as a potential therapeutic target and provides new insights for early diagnosis and treatment of this serious pediatric liver condition.
