Functional outcome and health-related quality of life in patients with sacrococcygeal teratoma – a Swedish multicenter study

Swedish multicenter study of 85 SCT patients found 36% bowel dysfunction and 46% urinary dysfunction at median 8.9-year follow-up. Low gestational age independently predicted both complications, though majority reported good quality of life. Immature histology and larger tumor size also correlated with dysfunction.
