Study of 131 adult patients reveals significant gaps in diagnostic knowledge among those with congenital colorectal conditions: 71% of ARM patients couldn't identify their specific anomaly type, with males showing particularly low awareness (13.5%). Findings underscore critical need for improved patient education and communication strategies to enable better self-advocacy and lifelong care management.
