Effects of changes in skeletal muscle mass on the prognosis of pediatric malignant solid tumors

Study of pediatric malignant solid tumor patients demonstrates that skeletal muscle mass changes during treatment correlate with outcomes. Patients with ≥20% increase in psoas muscle volume showed significantly better progression-free and overall survival compared to those with minimal muscle gain, suggesting muscle preservation as a prognostic indicator.
