Tracheal Replacement Using an In-Body Tissue-Engineered Collagenous Tube “BIOTUBE” with a Biodegradable Stent in a Beagle Model: A Preliminary Report on a New Technique

Preclinical study evaluating BIOTUBE, an autologous tissue-engineered collagenous tube with biodegradable stent, for tracheal replacement in beagles. Four of five animals survived with patent airways after 10-20mm segment replacement, achieving epithelialization despite early stenosis requiring intervention.
