First Population-Based Report of Infants with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia: 30-Day Outcomes from the American College of Surgeons National Quality Improvement Program

Population-based analysis of 432 infants with CDH from the NSQIP-P registry reveals 9% 30-day mortality following surgical repair. Major cardiac anomalies, low Apgar scores, and birth weight were significant mortality predictors. ECMO utilization was lower than single-center reports, and thoracoscopic repair had high conversion rates.
