Molecular profiling identifies targeted therapy opportunities in pediatric solid cancer

Prospective study of 345 pediatric solid tumor patients demonstrates that molecular tumor profiling with fusion detection significantly impacts clinical care. 86% had actionable alterations, with gene fusions representing 77% of diagnostic variants. Matched targeted therapy yielded objective responses in 24% of treated patients.
