Tissue adhesive, adhesive tape, and sutures for skin closure of paediatric surgical wounds: prospective randomized clinical trial

Randomized trial of 295 pediatric surgical patients comparing three skin closure methods found tissue adhesive produced inferior cosmetic results at 6 weeks versus sutures alone or sutures with adhesive tape, though this difference may not persist long-term. Parent satisfaction remained high across all closure techniques with minimal wound complications.
