Survey of 174 pediatric surgeons reveals current PI management follows uniform protocols (7 days bowel rest, 7 days antibiotics) regardless of etiology, though 59% consider this approach suboptimal. Surgeons identify etiology-specific treatment protocols and reduced imaging/antibiotic duration as key opportunities to improve care.
