A pilot study characterizing longitudinal changes in fecal microbiota of patients with Hirschsprung-associated enterocolitis

Longitudinal pilot study using next-generation sequencing to characterize fecal microbiota changes in five Hirschsprung-associated enterocolitis patients from active disease through remission. Findings reveal age-related compositional differences and Blautia enrichment during remission, supporting the role of gut microbiota in HAEC pathogenesis.
