Single-port laparoscopic percutaneous extraperitoneal internal ring closure for paediatric inguinal hernia using a needle grasper

Retrospective study of 447 pediatric inguinal hernia cases demonstrates that single-port laparoscopic repair using a needle grasper achieves excellent outcomes with mean operative times under 15 minutes, minimal complications (0.4% recurrence), and no conversions to open surgery. The technique offers reduced incisions and low morbidity for both unilateral and bilateral repairs.
