Assistant port is unnecessary for robotic-assisted laparoscopic pyeloplasty in children: a comparative cohort study

Comparative study of 47 pediatric patients shows three-port robotic pyeloplasty achieves equivalent success rates (96.2% vs 100%) and complication rates to four-port technique, while delivering superior cosmetic outcomes. Findings support eliminating the assistant port in pediatric RALP procedures without compromising surgical effectiveness.
