Sclerosing agents in the management of lymphatic malformations in children: A systematic review
Topic overview
Systematic review of sclerotherapy for pediatric lymphatic malformations across 48 studies (886 patients) shows 89% overall success rate, with macrocystic lesions responding better than microcystic variants. Doxycycline and bleomycin demonstrated high efficacy for head/neck lesions with low complication rates, while OK-432 showed higher major complication risk including airway compromise.
