Detection of Traumatic and Postoperative Nerve Lesions following Upper Extremity Fractures in a Pediatric Cohort Using MR Neurography
Topic overview
Retrospective study of 12 pediatric patients demonstrates that magnetic resonance neurography effectively identifies and grades traumatic nerve injuries following upper extremity fractures using the Chhabra classification system. MRN detected nerve lesions in 10 of 12 cases and proved valuable for guiding treatment decisions between surgical intervention and conservative management, with most patients showing good clinical recovery.
