A CT scan-based formula for predicting central venous catheter length in pediatric patients

This study developed CT-based formulas to predict optimal central venous catheter length in pediatric patients using height and insertion site, reducing dependence on fluoroscopy. The formulas showed improved accuracy over existing methods, correctly predicting catheter length in 52.6% (right subclavian) and 62.5% (left subclavian) of cases.
