Is testicular microlithiasis associated with testicular pathologies in children?

Retrospective study of 516 pediatric patients examines whether testicular microlithiasis correlates with testicular pathologies detected on scrotal ultrasound. Findings show no association with undescended testis, epididymo-orchitis, or varicocele, but significantly higher microlithiasis rates in post-orchiopexy patients and those with testicular pain, suggesting pain may be a microlithiasis symptom.
