Lymph node ratio predicts recurrence in pediatric papillary thyroid cancer
Topic overview
Retrospective study of 48 pediatric PTC patients demonstrates that lymph node ratio (LNR) >0.45 in both central and lateral neck compartments significantly predicts recurrence risk after thyroidectomy with neck dissection. LNR may serve as a useful prognostic tool for risk stratification in pediatric thyroid cancer management.
