Pattern of anatomic disorder and surgical management of anorectal prolapse in anorectal malformation

Retrospective study of 83 patients identifies anatomic risk factors for anorectal prolapse after ARM repair, including rectal fat hyperplasia, dilated muscular tunnel, and high-type malformations. Stratified surgical approach based on underlying pathology achieved 97.6% success rate with improved continence outcomes in long-term follow-up.
