Management and outcome of hepatic artery thrombosis with whole-liver transplantation using donors under one year of age

Retrospective study of 110 pediatric whole-liver transplants using infant donors (<1 year) found 20% HAT incidence, with 94.7% achieving recanalization through anticoagulation therapy. Despite increased biliary complications in HAT cases, patient and graft survival rates remained satisfactory, supporting safe utilization of young pediatric donors.
