Crystallized phenol treatment vs excision and primary closure in pilonidal sinus disease: A randomized clinical trial in adolescent patients

Randomized trial of 100 adolescent patients compared crystallized phenol treatment versus excision with primary closure for pilonidal sinus disease. Both methods showed similar complication and recurrence rates at 24 months, but phenol treatment offered shorter procedure time and minimally invasive approach.
