The prevalence and clinical presentation of Hirschsprung’s disease in preterm infants: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Systematic review of 30 studies involving 4,557 children found that 7% of Hirschsprung's disease patients were preterm infants. Most common clinical presentations included abdominal distention (83%), vomiting (61%), delayed meconium passage (48%), and constipation (44%), with enterocolitis occurring in 13% of cases.
