Single-stage salvage urethroplasty for failed distal hypospadias: comparison of Mathieu and grafted tubularised incised plate repairs

Retrospective study of 115 children comparing salvage Mathieu versus grafted tubularised incised plate techniques for failed distal hypospadias repair found Mathieu had superior success rates (91.6% vs 77.4%) with lower fistula and stenosis rates. Overall salvage success was 87.8% at median 24-month follow-up.
