Remote ischemic conditioning causes CD4 T cells shift towards reduced cell-mediated inflammation

Experimental study demonstrates that remote ischemic conditioning (RIC) applied to a limb reduces inflammatory markers and restores regulatory T-cell balance in a mouse model of necrotizing enterocolitis. RIC shifts CD4+ T-cells from pro-inflammatory Th17 toward anti-inflammatory Treg phenotype, suggesting a non-invasive therapeutic approach for NEC.
